.Del Lonnquist has retired from a 42 year career in Broadcasting.

During his broadcast career as "Lonnie" Lonnquist he also worked as a banjo playing stand up comic and entertainer. He did his comedy routines to open shows for many Grand Ol' Opry acts including Roy Acuff, Minnie Pearl, Tex Ritter, Grandpa Jones, The Kendalls', Porter Wagoner, Gene Watson and many, many others.

He has always said:
"The difference between a comedian and a humorist is that
a comedian leaves them laughing and a humorist leaves them thinking."

"Lets Celebrate Montana"  presents him as both a comedian and a humorist, leaving them laughing and thinking.

The Partners of Success, his Attitude and Motivation Seminar has been presented to 
thousands of people in Montana and the Northwest.

Del "Lonnie" Lonnquist has held many volunteer association positions including, among others:

President Montana Advertising Federation

President Helena Advertising Federation

Vice President Helena Area Chamber of Commerce

Coordinator of Montana Emergency Broadcast Services

Former motorcycle safety instructor - Motorcycle Safety Foundation

He has been the recipient of numerous community service awards throughout his career.
i.e. Helena Chamber of Commerce Presidents award - Volunteer of the year 1992
     American Heart Association Wisconsin Outstanding volunteer 1962
     and many others in between those years.

Working with AARP Montana he has presented the Count Steps For Life physical fitness program to thousands of
people at over 100 Montana Senior Citizen Centers urging them to take charge of their health through walking and exercise programs.
